Some shoots begin with a product. This one began with a feeling.
For this floral campaign for Houz of Zen, the direction was to create something that felt immersive, romantic, and quietly cinematic — not simply flowers placed around a subject, but a world built around color, texture, softness, and atmosphere.
The set was designed to feel like a floral landscape at sunset. Layers of fresh blooms surrounded the model, creating a garden-like scene with movement, depth, and softness. The flowers were not treated as props. They became part of the story.
A Floral Campaign with a Fashion and Beauty Direction
For this shoot, I wanted the visuals to sit between fashion, beauty, and floral campaign photography.
The styling had to feel elevated, but not overly staged. The flowers were abundant, colorful, and expressive, while the model’s pose and beauty direction remained soft and composed. The idea was to create balance — a strong floral environment with a calm, elegant subject within it.
The pastel gown, warm sunset backdrop, and colorful garden textures helped create a dreamlike feeling. Every detail was planned to support the overall mood: romantic, fresh, and visually rich.
This was important because Houz of Zen is not only about flowers as gifts. The brand also carries a strong sense of styling, atmosphere, and visual identity.
Working with Color, Texture, and Depth
One of the main goals of the shoot was to show the flowers in a way that felt alive.
Instead of creating a clean product-style setup, we built a fuller floral scene with different heights, shapes, and textures. The flowers in the foreground added depth, while the soft background created space and atmosphere.
The color palette moved between pink, coral, orange, green, yellow, and lavender. These tones helped the images feel warm and expressive without becoming too heavy.
Lighting also played an important role. I wanted the skin, flowers, and set to feel soft and glowing, with enough detail to keep the image polished. The final direction was romantic but still modern — something that could work for a floral brand, a beauty campaign, or a fashion editorial.
Creating a Visual Story for Houz of Zen
For brand photography, the goal is not only to make a beautiful image. The image has to communicate what the brand feels like.
For Houz of Zen, that meant creating visuals that felt refined, expressive, and full of floral identity. The campaign needed to show flowers as part of a lifestyle and creative world, not just as arrangements to be purchased.
That is why this shoot was built around emotion and atmosphere. The flowers created the environment. The model brought softness and presence. The styling connected everything together.
The result is a set of images that feels like a floral story — colorful, feminine, and made with the kind of visual direction that can support a brand campaign.
From Floral Styling to Campaign Photography
As a photographer, I enjoy projects where the visual direction has room to breathe. This shoot allowed me to bring together several parts of my work: fashion photography, beauty lighting, editorial composition, and brand storytelling.
It was also a reminder that floral photography does not have to be simple or expected. With the right creative direction, flowers can become part of a larger campaign language.
This project was created for Houz of Zen, a Dubai floral studio known for fresh, expressive arrangements, event floral styling, and seasonal floral collections.
